  1. Otroligt tråkig, närmast plågsamt dålig

    Enda anledningen att jag lyckades läsa hela var att jag låg sjuk i en vecka, annars hade jag gett upp långt tidigare. Som vanligt har Stephenson lyckats hitta på karaktärer med jättekomplexa bakgrundshistorier, men med personligheter med ett djup som en lövtunn mint. De delar av boken som försöker vara parodisk eller möjligen humoristisk fungerar inte alls. Inte ens det tekniknerdandet som alltid finns i hans böcker är ett dugg intressant.
