To crack the case, DC Ben Cooper must break open the degenerate clan. His boss, DS Diane Fry, is also in Withens. Grim new evidence has turned up in the case of a missing student, but her parents refuse to believe she could be dead. The darkness in Withens's heart is growing. And things are only going to get nastier . . .Praise for Stephen Booth:"One of Britain's best crime writers." -Sunday Telegraph"A modern master of rural noir." -The Guardian"Terrific. An atmospheric, psychological stunner." -The Bookseller"Clockwork suspense in a riveting setting." -Booklist"Suspenseful and supremely engaging." -Los Angeles Times

En av de absolut sämsta "deckare" som jag läst. Handlingen är rörig och seg, med oorganiserade poliser fulla med personliga problem och full av, för handlingen, ovidkommande information. Ren sörja!
