<br>Douglas Patterson was born in Utah and grew up near Minneapolis, MN. He studied mathematics and philosophy at Reed College in Portland, OR, and earned his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh. He currently teaches at Kansas State University where he is an associate professor.<br>
