Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) is widely recognized as one of the greatest philosopher-theologians America has ever produced, and recent years have seen a remarkable increase in research on his writings. He is the author of "The Philosophical Theology of Jonathan Edwards" (Princeton, 1988; paperback 2000); the editor of volume 21 of the Yale edition of "The Works of Jonathan Edwards, Writings on the Trinity, Grace and Faith"; and the coeditor of "Edwards in Our Time".
