Yingcai Xu is a professor in DePaul University, where he teaches Chinese studies courses, including Chinese literature (classical and modern), Chinese cinema, Chinese calligraphy (theory and practice), etc. He is also the founder of Chinese Poetry Association and Poetry Hall, both of which focus on the study and writing of poetry. Yingcai Xu is also a well-known translator. He not only translates from English to Chinese but also from Chinese to English. Apart from many other publications, he has also published poetry books, including "Selected Poetry of Bing Hua", "100 Chinese Poetry Classics", etc.
