A beautiful, comprehensive volume of Dylan's lyrics, from the beginning of his career through the present day?with the songwriter's edits to dozens of songs, appearing here for the first time.

Bob Dylan is one of the most important songwriters of our time, responsible for modern classics such as "Like a Rolling Stone,? "Mr. Tambourine Man,? and "The Times They Are a-Changin'.? The Lyrics is a comprehensive and definitive collection of Dylan's most recent writing as well as the early works that are such an essential part of the canon. 1. A Gret Poet

I have never enjoyed Bob Dylan's music, and have neither had any previous contact with his texts. So I might be able to evaluate his lyrics with fresh eyes. I think this is great poetry, and Dylan is well worth the Nobèl Prize he got. There must be many people like me, who were never attracted by his music, but who will find a new world open when they read these poems. I may not be the right person to make predictions, but I think that Dylan's poems will survive even when his music is forgotten.
