    Förra boken gjorde mig matt och kallsvettig och jag trodde att nu har hon nog nått gränsen för var vi kan följa vår älskade polis Gamache, men så sveps man med igen och denna gång i hemvan miljö - vi är åter i Three Pines. Men samtidigt finns mörkret där, i hörn och vrår, som alltid i Louise Pennys böcker. Men innevånarna i byn gör att man orkar ta sig igenom mörkret. Jag avundas dig som inte börjat läsa henne än, att få göra resan genom de 17 böcker hon producerat så här långt är en upplevelse utöver det vanliga.

Louise Penny is the number one New York Times bestselling author of the Inspector Gamache series, including Still Life, which won the CWA John Creasey Dagger in 2006. Recipient of virtually every existing award for crime fiction, Louise was also granted the Order of Canada in 2014 and received an honorary doctorate of literature from Carleton University and the Ordre Nationale du Québec in 2017. She lives in a small village south of Montreal.
