    Då jag är ett paradoxalt fan av morbid litteratur (speciellt om och av kvinnor Plath är en stor favorit), såg jag mycket fram emot att läsa The Hours. Tyvärr, efter att ha spenderat två långa kvällar med att ta mig igenom detta svammel, kan jag inte annat än att ifrågasätta vad de pris den har fått har baserats på. Då jag tycker bäst om texter skrivna efter språkets alla (korrekta) regler har jag har svårt för Cunninghams mer liberala skrivsätt. Karaktärsskildringarna får aldrig något riktig... Michael Cunningham was raised in Los Angeles and now lives in New York. His first novel, A Home at the End of the World, was published in 1990 and his second, Flesh and Blood, in 1995. His work has been published in the New Yorker.
