Allen W. Imershein, Professor of Sociology at The Florida State University was the founder and former director of the FSU Institute for Health and Human Services Research (IHHSR). Mary K. P. Mathis completed her Ph.D. in sociology from The Florida State University. She served as the Project Manager for the State of the Child study at IHHSR. After completing a post-doctoral program at Emery University and the Centers for Disease Control, she is currently doing epidemiological studies for the state of Georgia. C. Aaron McNeece, Professor of Social Work and former Associate Dean in the School of Social Work at FSU, is the current director of IHHSR.
