Like Way of the Rose, this is a book that resonates deeply with witches, pagans, eco-activists, and those looking for spiritual traditions that don't appropriate the practices or beliefs of cultures they were not raised in. When they join, many young people speak of wanting to return to the path of their ancestors. They aren't talking about Catholicism or even Christianity, but rather those older folk beliefs that feel tied to the earth itself.
The author, the former senior editor at Tricycle Magazine is very well known in the spiritual community, having published many books in the genre and is in demand as an interviewee and a writer.
