Uno de los artistas Pin-Up ms prolficos de la dcada de los 40 y 50. Nacido en Boston, se gradu en arte y estudio en La Sorbona de Paris. Como otros artistas de su poca se retir a pintar retratos artsticos. Su carrera no se limit a las portadas de revistas, tambin trabaj en publicidad y en Hollywood, tal vez su obra ms conocida son la coleccin de posters originales de la pelcula El halcn malts. En 1944 se conviirti en el director de arte del New York Sun, un puesto que mantuvo hasta 1946.
